A Gentle Breeze

Have you ever felt so disappointed that you felt your heart break and tears sting your eyes only to get a way better opportunity years later?

Has your heart ever ached because you’ve never felt more alone in your life and then suddenly, you get an unexpected text from a friend you haven’t heard from in a while checking up on you?

Were you so close to being hit by a car only to open your eyes moments later, amazed at how you’re still alive?

Have you ever walked into a room just in time to catch your little baby niece or nephew from falling and hurting themselves badly?

Did you work so hard to get accepted into a specific university only to be rejected, and then you got accepted elsewhere and now you won’t have it any other way?

Have you ever missed a turn only to find out later that there had been a major accident on that road and you had escaped it?

Were you ever so focused on being with someone, but it didn’t happen, and you were instead gifted years later with a special someone whom you now can’t imagine your life without?

Did you ever fall into a sin you never forgive yourself for to this day only to realize upon reflecting that it led you to a path of guidance and goodness like nothing else before?

In all these moments, we see an invisible hand rescue us from the depths of our disappointments, fears, uncertainties, loneliness, and guilt. It’s as if an invisible breeze blows only to show us that we are being taken care of. Yes, we are hurting, disappointed, and anxious in those moments, but only to be made happy and feel safe like never before. And only to be given much much more in abundance! You see, sometimes we don’t understand the subtleties of our hearts like the Most Subtle does. And sometimes, we think we know what we want but He knows us better. So, trust Him to take care of you. How many times throughout your life have you felt like you won’t make it only to have Him pull you through? Look at how far you’ve come! Haven’t you seen His Subtle and Gentle Hand in things? Trust, my friend, that in your lowest moments you are being prepared to be given what will make your heart most happy and at peace, in a form far better than you had ever imagined!

“There were times when I fell down on my knees,

Only to be cooled by a gentle breeze,

Only to be blessed in double,

Only to be comforted that You are indeed the Most Subtle.”

“Does He who created not know, while He is the Most Subtle, the All-Aware?” {67:14}
